Sarah Germain
Program Director and Coach
Sarah Germain
Born in Queens, New York, Sarah has always had a passion for performance. Her early love for dance and gymnastics blossomed into a deep connection with cheerleading and coaching, which has shaped her career and life.
Sarah began cheering in Mt. Pocono, Pennsylvania, where she cheered both competitively and for her school team for 6 years, while also dedicating her time to tumbling. During that time, she was honored as an All-American Nominee all six years, and traveled with her team across the East Coast to compete in various competitions. A treasured memory of her competitive cheerleading career was competing at Grand Nationals in Myrtle Beach, NC.
In 2004, Sarah moved to Naples, Florida, where she continued to thrive in cheerleading and dance. Following her graduation, Sarah’s dream was to become both a teacher and a coach—two roles that would allow her to combine her love for teaching with her passion for cheerleading. Sarah began her professional career as a VPK teacher before transitioning into family life with her husband Michael and their three sons, Christian, Logan, and Riley. She is also step-mom to daughter, Mikayla. While raising her family, Sarah and Michael ran a local small business, where she developed valuable skills in leadership and management.
Her start to coaching came when she volunteered to assist with The Village School of Naples’ cheerleading team. She also helped launch the school’s junior cheerleading program, which laid the foundation for her future coaching career. The following year, Sarah officially joined the coaching staff as a varsity cheerleading coach. Over the next five years, she led her athletes with dedication, overseeing the school’s three cheerleading teams and continuing to nurture the junior program. Her commitment to positive coaching was reinforced through training with The Positive Coaching Alliance, where she honed techniques that focus on building confidence, teamwork, and resilience in young athletes.
In the 2023-2024 season, Sarah began her journey in All-Star cheer coaching with a local gym, stepping into the role of gym manager and coach for the Prep Youth 1 half-season team. Sarah continued her work with the same gym in the 2024-2025 season, coaching an Elite Youth 2 team.
Certified with USASF, concussion and head injury prevention, and CPR, Sarah brings a high level of professionalism and safety to her coaching. She is passionate about empowering athletes to reach their full potential while creating a supportive and positive environment for them to grow both on and off the mat.
Sarah’s coaching philosophy is built on the belief that every athlete has the potential to succeed, and she strives to cultivate confidence, teamwork, and a love of the sport in all her athletes.
